Tragic Otter Attack: The Importance of Electric Fence Maintenance

In this video, I share the heartbreaking aftermath of an otter attack on my pond, which had been securely protected by an electric fence for years. One morning, I discovered the largest fish in the pond, full of eggs, dragged out and torn to bits. The electric fence had been broken, likely by something attempting to access the pond, giving the otter an opportunity to strike.

Join me as I walk through the scene, explaining the damage caused by the otter and the steps I’ve taken to repair the fence to prevent future attacks. Despite the tragic loss, I managed to save two mauled fish, returning them to the pond with hopes of their recovery.

Attention, pond owners! In my 12 years of keeping Koi carp, I never believed something like this could happen. One morning, I discovered the heartbreaking aftermath of an otter attack in my pond. This video captures the shocking scene on day 1, where several of my beloved fish were killed or severely injured.

Join me as I share this distressing experience, highlighting the vulnerability of Koi ponds to otter attacks. Unfortunately, the devastation continued for four consecutive nights until all my lovely fish were gone. I may upload videos of the following mornings to document the ongoing tragedy.
